A 60-year-old man in Germany has reportedly had himself vaccinated 90 times against CoViD-19 in order to sell forged vaccination certificates with real vaccine batch numbers to individuals who did not want to receive the vaccine themselves.
The man from Magdeburg, eastern Germany, whose identity is protected, is believed to have had the shots at vaccination centres in the eastern state of Saxony for months until he was caught earlier this month. The reports came to light from the German news agency, dpa.
Although the suspect was not detained, he remains under investigation for the issuance of vaccination certificates that was not authorised, along with document forgery.
The man was caught at a vaccination centre in Saxony's Eilenburg where he showed up for a CoViD-19 shot for the second day in a row. The police initiated criminal proceedings after sonfiscating several blank vaccination certificates from the man.
It remains unclear what impact the 90 shots of CoViD-19 vaccines, which are from different brands, will have on the man's health.
