They say practice makes perfect so artist Masayoshi Matsumoto, who has been perfecting his craft for ten years, should be pretty good, right? No. He is amazing. He creates balloon sculptures so intricate, every one of his pieces seems to breathe with life.
Once you know this, the limbs, spikes, and all the other details elevate his pieces to another level. Graceful birds, majestic mammals, and pesky insects with their incredibly textural exoskeletons are only part of the artist's body of work. Apart from fauna, Matsumoto also portrays plants and fungi, including cacti and morel mushrooms.
