This artist creates amazing works with the most unusual of tools, his feet. Simon Beck, creates amazing artistic etchings on both snow and sand using geometrical tools and sandshoes, leaving behind mesmerising image that truly captivate the audience.
Beck, who was a cartographer, an influence clearly seen in his art, studied engineering at Oxford, but gave up that life to continue with his art. His amazing pieces can take up to 40,000 steps and almost an entire day to complete in some instances.
The fact that art is transient and will be washed away by the sea or a change in temperature give his work a unique edge. Thankfully, he carefully photographs everything and has gained thousands of followers and fans online who eagerly anticipate his next instalment.
He says:
"Most people will only ever see most of the world's artwork as photographs. Even with the Mona Lisa—probably only a minority of people have actually seen the real thing, but everyone's seen a photograph of it."

While most of Beck's work is created in Europe, he has travelled further afield to the United States where he completed multiple artworks in just a short stay, bringing the art to an entirely new audience.
He has even used his art to make statements regarding social justice. In one piece, mostly made up of triangles, he left 77 triangles unshaded in order to bring attention to the 77 nations of the world that do not protect LGBTQ people from harassment or prosecution.
A short documentary film made by ABS news during Beck's time in the United States can be viewed here:
