Exercises for Sciatica: A Video Guide and When to Get Help

Fit movement to the person

A short exercise video cannot determine the cause of leg pain or supply a guaranteed cure. Exercises should be appropriate to the person’s symptoms and assessment. New bladder or bowel problems, numbness around the genitals or bottom, or severe symptoms in both legs need urgent medical assessment.

A Sciatica Exercise Video: Movement and Its Limits

The term "sciatica" describes the symptoms of leg pain—and possibly tingling, numbness or weakness—that originate in the lower back and travel through the buttock and down the large sciatic nerve in the back of the leg.

Treatment for sciatica depends on the person’s symptoms and assessment; there is no single required combination for everyone. Unluckily, it can be hard and really painful.

However, there are ways to relieve sciatica's pain yourself by doing some regular exercises. You should also consult a physical therapist, but an individually appropriate exercise plan may form part of care.

The NHS says sciatica usually gets better in a few weeks to a few months, and that gentle exercise and keeping active help. See a GP if it has not improved after a few weeks of home treatment, is getting worse or stops you doing normal activities. Go to A&E or call 999 for sciatica on both sides, severe weakness or numbness in both legs, numbness around the genitals or bottom, or new problems peeing or controlling your bowels.

This video will teach you how:

A demonstration needs room for individual adaptation

The useful part of an exercise video is seeing how a movement is performed, not receiving a diagnosis from it. Symptoms, tolerable range and the need for assessment vary. If a movement increases pain, stop and seek appropriate advice rather than adding repetitions to meet a promise that one routine will cure sciatica.

  1. I used to have a very severe form of sciatica... But, now I remember it only as a bad dream!

I'm a busy person, so I had no time to visit professional physiotherapist, get a massage, acupuncture etc. I didn't know what to do and the pain was killing me, I could barely fall asleep. So, I did a research hoping to find something that could help me. And guess what?

I found one e-book which taught me a lot about sciatica, it's symptoms, causes and how to cure it. I followed it carefully and I completely got rid of my sciatica in 1 week! Can you believe that? It thought it's a miracle, but then I did some more research about this e-book and found a lot of satisfied people who also claimed that they cured they sciatica fast. What a finding!

I'm leaving a link here which leads to a review of this e-book:

(just replace * with a dot, because I can't post links here)

    Have a good day :)

  2. Its interesting, but i use another method. Sciatica can really be a big pain and I had to endure it over 3 years after my car accident. I have used this miracle formula (Old Nepalese Secret http://sciatica16.blogspot.com/ ) of treatment for 7 days. I relieved from Sciatica and the pain was gone.

  3. I can’t thank you enough Glenn. I was a sciatica sufferer for years and had wasted thousands of dollars on all kinds of therapies and medications, from epidural injections to chiropractic treatments. I’d get temporary relief but after a few days the pain would be back. It had gotten to the point where tying my own shoe laces had become a pain-staking 10 minute task. A friend of mine sent me a link to Sciatica SOS on facebook

and barely 5 days later the pain was gone completely and I have my mobility back. One month later I am still completely pain-free. This should be a must to anyone with sciatica.

  4. I suffered from sciatica for 3 years and tried many pain medications that my doctor prescribed. These were very strong medications, but none of them worked for me. On some days I could not even get out

of bed. I was desperate for relief. One day I started searching the internet for a solution. That’s when I found this program: sciatica.certifiedtreatment. com and decided to give it a try.
It has been unbelievable. It keeps things totally under control and the pain has totally gone away. Highly recommended!
