Michigan police used 13 semi-trucks to prevent a man from committing suicide by jumping from the bridge on 24 March 2018 early in the morning.

The unbelievable moment was captured on camera and shows over a dozen semi-trucks parked side-by-side underneath an overpass on Interstate 696.

Michigan State Police decided to close the highway at Coolidge after receiving a call about someone standing on the bridge threatening to commit suicide.

Authorities let semi-trucks through the highway after coming up with a plan to prevent the unnamed man from jumping.

Also, the westbound lanes were closed as more semi-trucks were allowed to pass through.

Then, police directed the trucks to line underneath the overpass. 13 semi-trucks in total were parked underneath the bridge to shorten the distance of the fall in case the man were to have jumped, according to Fox 2.

The Michigan State Police, Huntington Woods, and Oak Park Police worked together to prevent the man from jumping. According to the outlet, officers and negotiators needed several hours before the man walked off the overpass.

Then, he was taken by Huntington Woods police to Beaumont hospital for evaluation.

The Michigan State Police Department tweeted out a photograph of the semi-superheroes, writing: 'This photo does show the work troopers and local officers do to save the public. But also in that photo is a man struggling with the decision to take his own life. Please remember help is available through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.'
