Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has been threatened by the Russians over his support for Ukraine during the ongoing brutal invasion of the country by Russian forces.
The head of the Russian Space Agency, Dmitry Rogozin, has accused Musk of giving satellite equipment to the Azov battalion, a Ukrainian group with links to the far-right within the country.
Since the war began, Musk has supplied 2,000 Starlink satellites that have allowed Ukrainians to communicate effectively despite the Russian attacks on their key infrastructure. Musk has already stated that his team have fought off several jamming attempts by the Russians on the satellites.
Rogzin said online:
"From the testimony of the captured chief of staff of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Dmitry Kormyankov, it follows that the ground-based subscriber equipment of the Starlink satellite company Elon Musk was delivered to the militants of the Nazi Azov Battalion and the Marines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Mariupol by military helicopters."
"Elon Musk is thus involved with supplying the fascist forces in Ukraine with military communications. And for this you will have to answer in an adult way, Elon, no matter how much you'll play the fool."
Musk joked on twitter, which he is due to purchase, saying that:
"The word 'Nazi' doesn't mean what he seems to think it does."
And:
"If I die under mysterious circumstances, it's been nice knowin' ya."
Rogzin has previously stated that Russia could destroy all NATO countries in just half an hour if they chose to, and recently said:
"This is a war for the truth - and the right of Russia to exist as a single and independent state. That is why what we call a Special Military Operation goes far beyond its original meaning and geography."
He also claimed that NATO was using Ukraine as a proxy to attack Russia, saying:
"The very existence of a Ukraine separate from Russia will inevitably turn it into anti-Russia and a springboard of the West for aggression against our people. The armed forces of Ukraine are expendable cannon fodder for NATO. They are only operators trained by NATO instructors who push the levers and buttons of NATO weapons."
