A 67-year-old supreme court justice in Sweden has been fined for shoplifting, among other goods, ham and meatballs, according to the case's prosecutor.
The judge, Ann-Christine Lindeblad, was caught stealing the groceries by staff working at the store, located in Stockholm, a week before Christmas.
Per Nichols, the chief public prosecutor, told Agence France-Presse:
"I have issued a fine regarding the crime petty theft, previously known as shoplifting."
The judge resigned in February following reports that she was being investigated. She had served two decades on the bench.
The judge reportedly also attempted to steal cheese and sausages, which she tried to hide in a woven bag, according to Dagens Juridik legal news outlet.
Although she admitted the events taking place, she denied intention to steal. She was issued a fine of 50,000 Swedish kronor (£4,075), according to Nichols.
