These are the amazing pictures captured by photographer Adrian C. Murray of both him and his wonderful 4 children. The photographs have been highly praised by art critics and photographic experts and show the world through a child's eyes.
The images have a wonderful homely element to them and showcase the wonder of everyday life, in all its tiny glories, whether that be playing with a teddy bear, or playing simple games with household objects such as rolls of toilet-paper. The warmth in the photographs really shines through, while at the same time conveying a real but other-worldly feeling of tranquillity.
Murray says his inspiration comes from Norman Rockwell who was an American painter and illustrator of the mid-20th century who depicted everyday scenes from modern America. Murray told My Modern Met magazine:
"From simple family events to stories that we dream up. I have always been a fan of Norman Rockwell and so I liked treating our images in a way that might convey a story—and I enjoyed doing this with my family—like Rockwell. Sometimes I utilize the continuous shutter-release mode to capture many frames but I usually try to avoid this and leave that for fast action that I can't anticipate at the right moment. Other times I try to view the scene as a whole and wait for some signal that a moment I would like to capture is about to happen."
These images really do convey a picture of a world that we are all now dreaming of, one of safety, family and hope.
