The attorney general of the U.S. Virgin Islands has subpoenaed the flight logs of the planes once owned by convicted sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein. These planes were allegedly once used by Epstein to ferry around high-profile individuals and victims of his child sex trafficking ring. The subpoena is said to be causing a huge amount of worry for the rich and powerful who will be registered on the flight logs.
Even those that travelled on the planes but did not necessarily commit any crimes could have their images and businesses tarnished by their association with the criminal. The documents are said to cover his 4 helicopters and 3 planes for the years 1998 to 2019.
A series of famous individuals are already in serious trouble as a result of their connection with Epstein, notably Prince Andrew who was photographed with sex trafficking victims, some of whom have made accusations against the prince. He has denied all of the accusations against him however, he has been side-lined from royal duties as a result of his long standing friendship with Epstein, a friendship that continued even after Epstein was convicted of sex crimes.
Logs from 2009 that were leaked previously show that individuals such as Bill Clinton, Chris Tucker and Kevin Spacey had all been on the flights at one time or another.
Jeffrey Epstein died in his New York prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial for running a sex-trafficking ring involving many underage girls.
However, many people have suspected that Epstein did not in fact kill himself but was murdered in order to stop him spilling the beans on the powerful people who may have also been involved. CCTV of his prison cell disappeared, and security cameras were turned off.
His partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of corrupt English businessman Robert Maxwell, is currently being held in prison on charges related to the Epstein trafficking ring. It is alleged that she oversaw the entire operation and that she developed a huge pyramid type scheme in which young victims would recruit more young victims to be abused by Maxwell. Some victims allege she even took part in the sex crimes.
It is thought that as part of a plea deal, Maxwell will reveal the names of those that were involved in organised abuse, leading many to worry about her safety before trial. If convicted, she faces decades behind bars. For years Maxwell was one of the most prominent socialites in the United States, appearing at banquets and mingling with major players in entertainment, sport, business and politics.
