Check Out This New Manicure Trend That Is Nothing Like You've Seen Before

In postmodern societies, all kinds of beauty trends occur, as the very essence of the post-modernist culture is to attract attention to appearances. The competition on social media is immense, with people fighting over who will gather the most reactions, and achieve that frequently people seek to provoke. After all, there is no such thing as bad publicity, as long as there is publicity.

In this case, the highly popular Instagram account @nail_sunny, known for its special manicure works, posted a video that left many skeptical.

The video, which is essentially a tutorial, displays the infamous Russian nail artist crafting her fingernails into little hands and feet.

The footage shows the difficulty that lies behind such a delicate process, which requires precision and patience.

To achieve the realistic results, the manicurist glues fake nails on each nail, molds then into the shape of feet, and then paints them to the shade of skin colour. Lastly, she finishes off the look by giving each miniature foot its own pedicure!

Interesting as the process and results as they may be, reactions of followers were not particularly positive. Some even described it as the most aesthetically appalling manicure they've seen.
