Artist Paints Eyes On Rocks And Takes Them Back To Nature To Be Found Or Lost Forever

On her recent residency with Q Bank Gallery in Queenstown, Tasmania Jennifer Allnutt began a project of painting eyes on collected rocks and taking them back to the landscape to be found or lost forever.

As Queenstown has an extensive mining history, there were many great rocks everywhere. So Allnutt began a collection and what started as something for herself grew into a treasure hunt/community art project.
