The way we connect emotionally with others or to our overall wellness and wellbeing may indeed be more relevant than any exercise, medical treatment, supplements or food.

The physiological sensations we experience, depending on whether we are angry, scared or happy, are actually located in different areas of the body. The simplest example that each one of us has experienced is shame and the felling of our cheeks getting warmer and becoming pink or our ears –red. That shows that the feeling of shame is evoking energy, connected with the facial muscles of our body.

Our emotions coordinate the behavior and the physiological states during pleasurable interactions or when we get interviewed for a job. Even though we are often consciously aware, the mechanisms giving rise to these subjective sensations, like happiness and anger, still remain largely unresolved. The first research that has mapped the areas of our body which are experiencing an increase or decrease in sensory activity when we experience a particular emotion has been done by a team of Finnish scientists. This map was compiled following a study of 700 Taiwanese, Finnish and Swedish volunteers. The resulting map shows that each type of emotion activates a network of specific areas of the body, distinct from those activated by other types of emotions. Every type of emotion carries a unique energy and a different frequency of vibrations in the body. All cells, membranes, tissues, glands, organs, vibrate in precise way in us and they are all influenced by our emotions.

Across experiments, different emotions were consistently associated with statistically separable bodily sensation maps, which were concordant across West European and East Asian samples. Statistical classifiers distinguished emotion-specific activation maps accurately, confirming independence of topographies across emotions.

<img alt="Wondering where you feel emotions in your body? As you may felt, happiness is the most significant emotion that is forcing our entire body to respond, as the study shows, and the main areas are the face and the chest. The second strongest emotion we experience, daily I hope, is Love and as you can see, three areas are activated – the chest, the face and the lower abdomen often connected with the butterflies. On the other side, on disgust, it activates the body areas which are mainly concentrated around the mouth and the throat. Anger is mainly active in the chest and the lower part of the face, also arms with particular intensity on the hands.

The body map lists the areas that are home to a decrease in sensory activity, as well as the areas in which the people experienced increased sensory activity when emotion is felt. Thus, we notice that the emotions with depression have the effect of generating a feeling of decline in sensory activity in the legs and arms.

The research show a remarkable consistency in results, suggesting that the mechanisms underlying bodily sensations that we perceive when we experience a particular emotion are likely dictated by the energetic patterns and biology rather than the culture.

The researchers proposed that emotions represented in the somatosensory system are culturally universal categorical somatotopic maps. Perception of these emotion-triggered bodily changes may play a key role in generating consciously felt emotions.

The participants in the research were first asked to watch video sequences associated with different emotions and identify parts of their body where they felt an increase or decrease of bodily sensations.

They used a topographical, self-report tool, to reveal that different emotional experiences are associated with topographically distinct and culturally universal bodily sensations and that these sensations could underlie conscious emotional experiences. Monitoring the topography of these bodily sensations brings forth a special tool for emotion research and could even provide a biomarker for emotional disorders.

This The producers of the show have said that it was Banksy who approached them with the idea and they were excited to be a part of it. between the crust and the core, there are vast reserves of water, probably three times the total volume of water of all oceans on the surface of our planet.

This “reservoir” of water, which seems to be stable over time, lies at a depth of up to 700 kilometers beneath the planet’s surface, in the intermediate zone between the upper and the lower mantle.

The researchers, led by geophysicist Steven Jacobsen of the Northwestern University and seismologist Brandon Schmandt of the University of New Mexico, estimate that water is “locked” (molecularly trapped) in a mineral called ringwoodite.

This is a relatively rare crystalline structure with a rock formed from olivine under very high pressures and temperatures.

The existence of such large quantities of ground water sheds new light on the hydrological cycle of the Earth and the origin of the seas and oceans, since they have more or less maintained their size over millions of years. Some geologists believe that water on Earth came from space or, in particular, from icy comets that fell on our planet. But the new discovery reinforces the alternative possibility that the oceans gradually emerged from the depth of the early Earth, thanks to the continuous recycling of tectonic plates. “The indications show that the Earth’s water came from inside,” said Jacobsen.

The U.S. researchers used more than 2,000 seismographs to study seismic waves that provoked over 500 earthquakes in the USA. By measuring the propagation velocity of underground seismic waves at different depths, the scientists identified the density and therefore the type of rocks that were passed by the waves.

The ‘well hidden’ water was discovered because its presence slowed down the seismic waves in the corresponding layers (a seismic wave takes longer to penetrate a hydrated rock than an anhydrous one).

The seismic observations are supplemented by laboratory experiments, from which the researchers concluded that hydrated ringwoodite at depths of around 700 km acts like a “sponge” that is gradually melting under high pressure and temperature and traps the previously absorbed water in the transition zone. “When a rock with a lot of H2O moves from the transition zone to the lower mantle it needs to get rid of the H2O somehow, so it melts a little bit. This is called dehydration melting,” said Brandon Schmandt.

Although the study concerns only the territory of the U.S., the researchers believe that something similar is happening around the world and are already planning to expand the study to other countries. Not getting enough sleep

This phenomenon, familiar to anyone, is becoming a global problem. According to the WHO, over the past 100 years, people began to sleep an average of 20% less. Severe lack of sleep creates the risk that different parts of the brain move into a phase of slow wave sleep in the state of wakefulness. As a result, a person can’t concentrate and his fine motor skills deteriorate. The regular lack of sleep leads to brain cell death.

2. Lack of breakfast

Skipping the morning meal affects the performance and energy of the person during the day. It seems obvious, but the point here is not so much the consumption of energy necessary for the body, but the fact that lack of breakfast lowers the level of sugar in the blood. This in turn reduces and hinders the flow of nutrients to the brain.

3. Sugar

The preceding paragraph explains why it is recommended to eat sweets, especially dark chocolate, to have a good brain performance. However, excessive amounts of sugar cause problems with the assimilation of protein and nutrients. It leads to the same result as the low level of blood sugar: the brain does not receive enough nutrients.

4. Stress

Severe emotional stress weakens the connections between neurons and thus complicates the understanding of cause-effect relationships and sequence of events. Strong nervous excitement, poor memory and the feeling that everything goes wrong are also linked to stress.

5. Tranquilizers and sleeping pills

The use of sleeping pills and popular tranquilizers such as Xanax can impair memory up to amnesia, cause dementia and obsessive suicidal thoughts.

6. Smoking

Speaking about the negative effects of smoking on the body, the image of black lung and damaged teeth first comes to mind. At the same time, it is not said much about how cigarettes affect the brain: nicotine narrows its vessels. Besides the problems associated with lack of nutrients in the brain, this greatly increases the risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

7. Lack of sun

Lack of sufficient sunlight directly affects cognitive abilities. First, ultraviolet light produced from sunlight regulates blood circulation, that is, the flow of oxygen and nutrients. Second, sunlight helps produce serotonin – the hormone that affects a person’s mood.

8. Lack of water

Lack of water causes a decrease in brain volume, which considerably reduces its efficiency and leads to almost zero ability to memorize information. It is recommended to drink an average of 1,5-2 liters of water per day.

9. Too much information

Year after year, the amount of information to digest increases enormously. This would seem quite useful for the brain exercise and the maintenance of its performance. However, brain responds to such an information excess with resistance. It is expressed in the fact that at a certain moment the information is no longer absorbed causing up to memory lapses.

10. Multitasking

Another anomaly of the information world: people simultaneously process multiple streams of information. As a consequence, none of them is absorbed properly, and the mind gets used to this way of working. Information is perceived superficially, while being focused and doing only one thing without frequent change of activity is becoming more difficult.
<br During the Rising, she wounded a British sniper before being forced to retreat and surrender. After, she was the only woman out of 70 to be put into solitary confinement. She was sentenced to death, but was pardoned based on her gender. Interestingly, the prosecuting counsel claimed that she begged “I am only a woman, you cannot shoot a woman”, while court records show she said “I do wish your lot had the decency to shoot me”. Constance was one of the first women in the world to hold a cabinet position (Minister for Labour of the Irish Republic, 1919–1922), and she was also the first woman elected to the British House of Commons (December 1918)—a position which she rejected due to the Sinn Féin abstentionist policy.

Petra Herrera

During the Mexican Revolution, female soldiers known as soldaderaswent into combat along with the men although they often faced abuse. About 25,000 women all over the region were involved, protesting both the looming tax changes and the unrestricted power of the Warrant Chiefs.
