Ross Taylor is a freelance photographer who was heavily influenced when he saw his friend struggle so hard with his pet's death. He set out to capture even more moments like this, to create a memory that we will never forget. These are 'Last Moments,' a compilation of raw emotion shown by pet owners moments before and after their beloved family member had to be put down to lessen his pain.
It is not an easy option nor were they always prepared for what's to come. None of us is prepared for death, for we can never and will never be 'glad' to accept death as the only solution. But for many of these beautiful and handsome dogs, it was better than to force themselves to withstand the pain.
These pictures were taken between 2017 to 2018 around Tampa Bay area in Florida. You can see a lot of these pictures are taken at home because 'Lap of Love' allows pet owners to have their pets euthanized at home. Let these pictures not only convey grief, but love to the brave owners who had made the hardest, but the best decision for their lovely pets.
