Hilarious Tweets By Librarians Who Are Trolling Annoying Customers

The library feels like a warm place where people go to be gently shushed and read while they enjoy the smell of mildew. However, behind the scenes, librarians are as annoyed by several customers as any other retailer. Maybe even more.

Twitter user @metafrantic tweeted a picture from a library that displayed red books with a banner that pokes fun at people's annoying habit of asking librarians to help them find a book based only on its color.

That's apparently a common library troll:

The phenomenon is so widely known that there are comic strips about it.

Other librarians and bookstore folk chimed in to describe what bugs THEM about all the customers coming in for help:

At least one thought that color coding made some kind of sense.

Still, most are like, "Nah."

This comment indicates that not only customers ask for books by color, but they usually seem to ask for a red one.

Do they believe that this makes the book more attractive?
