Only individuals with perfect color vision can pass this color blindness test. The general agreement is that 8 percent of men and 0.5 percent of women have some color vision deficiency.

Color vision depends on the eyes and the brain working together to perceive various properties of light.

According to the National Eye Institute, we tend to see the natural and artificial light which illuminates our world as white.

However, it’s a mixture of colors which, perceived on their own, could span the visual spectrum from the deep blue color to the deep red. You can see those many colors when the rain separates sunlight into a rainbow, or when a glass prism separates the white light into a multi-color band. Also, the most common types of color blindness are inherited.

They're the result of defects in the genes which contain instructions to make the photopigments discovered in cones.

According to the NEI, color blindness can be categorized into three types: red-green color blindness, blue-yellow color blindness, and, finally, complete color blindness.

Red-green color blindness is the most common; it's the loss or limited function of the red cone (protan) or green cone (deutran) photopigments.

Rarer than red-green color blindness is blue-yellow color blindness which is when the blue-cone (tritan) photopigments are missing or have limited function.

Finally, complete color blindness (monochromacy) is straightforward; anybody with that color vision deficiency cannot experience any color at all. That can also affect the clearness of these individuals' vision.

Typically, eye care professionals use a color blindness test like The Ishihara Color Test or the Cambridge Color Test to see whether somebody has color vision deficiency.

Several people with color vision deficiency aren't even aware that they have it! Sometimes, a situation arises where they may realize their understanding and experience of color differs from those around them.

Here is a quick color blindness test that only individuals with perfect color vision will be able to ace without hesitation! Don't forget to share your results and compare them with your friends'!
